Bob Shippee
Leadership for the 57th district
Representing eastern Goochland and western Henrico
Representing eastern Goochland and western Henrico
Bob has worked, raised his family and lived in the 57th district for 27 years. Because of his love for his community, he has volunteered at local schools, advocated for the environment, and protected election integrity. He's passionate about defending our schools, our bodies, our environment, and our elections.
As vice chair of the Henrico Electoral Board for the past four years, Bob witnessed first-hand the growing interference with our election process, including bogus statements about voter fraud. The right of all eligible voters to easily and freely participate in our elections, and protection of our outstanding elections workers is paramount.
For years, Bob has advocated in the General Assembly for a rapid transition to clean energy and transportation. Virginia is now on a path toward the job-creating wind and solar energy future we need, but special interests are fighting to roll back this progress. Bob will ensure we stay on track for a healthier future.
The fact that in 2023 we are debating the right of women to control their own bodies and reproductive decisions is outrageous. Bob will tirelessly defend a woman's right to keep government out of these personal, complex decisions.
Bob's mother was a public school music teacher and his five children went to Henrico public schools. He will oppose diversion of funds that should go to public school education, and will support raises for our hard-working teachers.
